Let me explain what Lee's Illustrated Stamp Listopedia is all about a word at a time.

First it is about Stamps.  Studying stamps, finding stamps, classifying stamps, investing in stamps, and generally understanding the fascinating world of postage stamp collecting.

The pages are generously Illustrated.  Surmising that stamp enthusiasts enjoy miniature illustrations, I am hoping that visitors to this site will appreciate the use of images to complement the text.  I also subscribe to the adage, "a picture is worth a thousand words," though it may seem that they sometimes take a thousand times longer to download as well.

Listopedia is a word I made up.  It means a bunch of lists of images, information and links intended to teach, entertain and encourage further exploration of a subject.

Lee is me, Jeff Lee.  I'm an amateur stamp collector, web enthusiast, and perpetual student, and this project is the natural product of these interests.

1. In building lists of links I've tried to include web sites that I've found to be useful, well-designed and up-to-date.  I'm sure I've overlooked some good sites, and new candidates will emerge over time.  If you have a site that you think would enhance a list, please let me know.

2. If I have violated any copyright, referred to a web site or item inaccurately, failed to give proper credit, or erred in any way, it is unintentional.  Please let me know, and I'll rectify it.

3. Screenshots of web pages and links were accurate when I made them, but are subject to becoming obsolete.  If you find any graphics or links to be out of date, please let me know.
