Singer-songwriter-comedienne Nancy Tucker will join PVFS Song & Story Swap on Sept 5 Connecticut-based Nancy Tucker is a gifted musician who blends outrageous squeaky clean comedy, spirited guitar instrumentals and moving songs of human experience in her shows for people of all ages.

Nancy is an accomplished guitarist, composer, lyricist and humorist with a lifelong career of live performance and recording for both children and adults. Her music features melodic finger-style guitar compositions, inventive percussion-isms, and lyrical ingenuity.

Her recognitions include First Place/The Composers Forum for the original composition Dance Of The Midnight Mouse; Grand Prize Winner/Connecticut Comedy Festival; and Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award/Connecticut Song Writers Association.

The most recent of Nancy Tucker's seven CDs is the award-winning, clever and zany "Escape of the Slinkys."

Parents' Choice has described Nancy as “an offbeat, original, fizzy, funny, witty delight.”

The Song & Story Swap is held on the first Saturday of each month, excepting July and August, and is jointly sponsored by the Pioneer Valley Folklore Society and the Nacul Center. Visit the Folklore Society website at pvfs.us.

The Song & Story Swap is open to the public, free of charge with donations accepted ($5 - $10 is suggested). Donations to the featured performer may be made securely via credit card or Paypal at https://pvfs.us/donate.

People of all ages gather to share stories and songs that are traditional, newly written, or of personal experiences. You can tell, sing, or lead everyone in singing, or request a song or story. Listeners are welcome.
